Jesus affirmed the creational norm of the union between one man and one woman, in lifelong covenant with one another (Mark 10:6–9), in contrast with both divorce and porneia, or sexual immorality (Matt. 19:9). In the New Testament era, of course, there were no Internet sites, pornographic or otherwise. There was erotic dancing (see Herodias’s daughter). And there was prostitution, both of the sort with which we are familiar and temple prostitution.
